3 Star bordering on 2.5 for accuracy
Isabelle was about to finish her training when she
discovered the secret behind her family.
She decides to run off Vrakal.
Nothing goes the way she plans when she arrives in Vrakal but she’s
hoping it will work out.
This was labeled as a Dark Vampire Romance but it doesn’t
really feel very dark. The subject
matter is has some S & M and that might be why it is labeled as Dark. Why I consider it to border a lower rating is
the accuracy of some of the scenes. At one
point Thorn goes from anal sex to her mouth.
I have huge issues with this for so many reasons. I also had issues with Isabelle was
headstrong to the point of being too stupid to live. She doesn’t want to except help from anyone
and has to argue that she can take care of herself no matter what. It got old fast. I did enjoy the book overall. The pacing in the story was spot on. It is an interesting take on Vampirism and I will
give the second book a try.
