Ash is trying to figure out how to take down Isaac and
Chariot and doesn’t know how it will play out.
When Isaac's wife hires Ash to find something her husband wants so she
can get out of the marriage. The Queen
of Hearts doesn’t want to help her find the something that will help her with
quest. She finds out her mother has
gotten a blackmail message threatening to reveal Ash’s magic and she has to
track down who is behind it. All of this
while dealing with the fall out of the break up with Levi. Ash could use a long break.
This was one of the best conclusion to a series I’ve read in
a long time. It wrapped everything up
nicely. I loved how Ash and Levi
resolved their conflict from the last book.
I would love to see more with the Queen of Hearts but it didn’t take
away anything from the story. I just
want to know more about what led her where she was. The character development continue in this
story and fleshed out even more. I loved
the secondary characters just as much as I do Ash. Can’t wait for her next series.
