Destiny Fisher has
spent the last 12 years regretting saying yes to a proposal. She’s had to live with the death of her fiancé
and knowing she can never have the man she loves. She planned to keep it all to herself until
she got drunk at a bar and ran into the man she can’t have. Trent Dawkins has regrated telling his
brother to go after the girl next door from the minute he said go for it. He thought he could never have her until she
gets drunk and spills all her inner secrets.
Now that they know they want each other they will have to navigate the
issues from their families and his being a delta.
I had a hard time getting past the twin thing and dating
someone because you didn’t think you would ever be able to have the one you
wanted. Then because you dated the one twin
you really can’t date the other one. The
other issue I had with the book was her getting mad when he was on a mission
and didn’t tell her that he was staying local for it. That is literally the point of a delta team. They don’t talk about their missions at
all. Other than these two issues the
book was pretty good. It was interesting
to see a plot point continue from the last book to this book. My issues with the story are my issues with certain
plot points and shouldn’t deter you from reading it because the writing was
really good. The pacing was spot on and
it adds to the overall series.
