Piper Johnson was visiting her friend in the peace corp when
a coup happens and the orphanage they are at is taken over. Piper is hidden with 3 orphans when the SEAL
team comes in to rescue Piper’s friend.
They will need to navigate their way through the jungle to the
city. Beckett “Ace” Morgan thought it
would be an easy in and out until Piper won’t leave the kids behind. On the mad dash to the city he falls for
her. When they get to the city they will
have to decide what to do with the kids and how they will all get out safe.
I loved this book. The
only part that didn’t really work for me was the bad guy. He wasn’t really a bad guy to me. Plus the rest of the story was just that much
better without adding in that aspect to the story. There is one thing that is spoiler esq. They
were there to rescue Kalee and find her dead.
Halfway through the book I knew she wasn’t dead and there would
definitely be a book with her. This was
one of her better books I’ve read by Susan Stoker and it totally makes up for
the last book.
