Alexis is poorer than poor.
She lives in a forgotten part of the city caring for children who have
also been forgotten. She remains unnoticed
until a run in with Kieran, a demi-god.
He can sense her powers no matter what she says and is determined to use
her for his own gains.
I really liked this book.
It was a different take on gods on earth. It was a long book but it didn’t feel
long. The pacing in the story was spot
on. I liked the fact that Alexis didn’t put
up with Kieran pushing. She did a lot for
the kids she had taken in and was willing to make sacrifices for them but everything
else was a hard pass for her. Looking
forward to the next book.
