Naomi’s husband drops a bomb that he wants a divorce and that
she’s let herself go. She thought her
marriage was fine until this moment. She’s
starting over and hopes her BFF and her kids will finally be able to have a
relationship with her.
If this had been my first book of Eve Langlais I would not
continue reading her books. It is
missing so much. The pacing was off. It was slow slow slow and then the ending was
rushed. I also didn’t like Naomi. She was so freaking dense. Like magic was right in front of her and she
is still denying it. This got old really
fast. Her self-doubt was also very grating
to read throughout the book. I did like
her interactions with her daughter.
Overall if you are checking out Ms. Langlais for the first time I have
other books from her that are way better.
