Darcy has always been overlooked by everyone. She has made
it her business to blend into the background. This allows her to do what she
wants when she wants to do it. When she misses her shift Morgan makes excuses
for her and goes to check on her as he is worried. He had one night of perfect
with Darcy years ago and he walked away. She wants him but doesn’t want him
when they are mated. If they sever the link, they both lose their magic, but
she doesn’t trust him. Will he break down her walls and win her over?
I didn’t enjoy this as much as other books by this author. I
don’t really see how Darcy and Morgan worked through their issues. I felt it
was insta relationship even thought they had a history. He never really
explains to her why he walked away. She tells him her issues and that’s about
it. It was well written, and you do want Darcy to get her happy ending since
she had a shitty life. I just was left wanting a little more to the story. It will be interesting to see where the series is going.
