Jeremy is used to taking care of everyone around him until
Teresa. Teresa is a family friend who has been dumped by her long-time boyfriend,
but she doesn’t want his help. She wants a partner in life so no matter how
much she wants Jeremy she’s not willing to settle for someone who tries to take
care of her vs supporting her. Will Jeremy figure out how to let go and support
her?
Content warning on this book. A secondary character is raped
off the pages, but the main characters are involved and there might be scenes
that are difficult for some.
I liked this one. Jeremy really takes to heart what women are telling him and grows and learns that he needs to let go. I liked seeing the relationship between them shift and change. I had some issues with Teresa. No problem with her putting Jeremy in his place when he earned it, but she came across as bitchy at times. The flow of the story was good. The rape was a bit jarring as it came out of left field for what the plot was doing but it does set up the next book. It was a good addition to the Billionaire series even though it is the “first” book in a series.
