Bad Rebound by Elise Faber

4 Stars

Jeremy is used to taking care of everyone around him until Teresa. Teresa is a family friend who has been dumped by her long-time boyfriend, but she doesn’t want his help. She wants a partner in life so no matter how much she wants Jeremy she’s not willing to settle for someone who tries to take care of her vs supporting her. Will Jeremy figure out how to let go and support her?

Content warning on this book. A secondary character is raped off the pages, but the main characters are involved and there might be scenes that are difficult for some.

I liked this one. Jeremy really takes to heart what women are telling him and grows and learns that he needs to let go. I liked seeing the relationship between them shift and change. I had some issues with Teresa. No problem with her putting Jeremy in his place when he earned it, but she came across as bitchy at times. The flow of the story was good. The rape was a bit jarring as it came out of left field for what the plot was doing but it does set up the next book. It was a good addition to the Billionaire series even though it is the “first” book in a series.

Bad Best Friend by Elise Faber

4 Star

Cora us tired of her 6 big brothers protecting her from everything. No matter how many times she’s told them to back off they haven’t taken the hint. Now they want their best friend Rafe to move in with her to see what is wrong with her. She very much doesn’t want this as she wants him. They give her the choice of Rafe or one of her brothers. She chooses to have him move in. Rafe was fine with this but was surprised to find it hard to ignore the attraction. Will he get past his fears of losing his family and go for her so they can get their happily ever after?

I loved Cora and Rafe. They were a super cute couple, and both had issues they had to work through to find their happy ending. Rafe really only has Cora’s family as his family, and he doesn’t want to lose that by being with her. It takes him time to figure out he can have everything. I also liked that Cora also had to work through her own issues. Overall, this one fit really well with the rest of the series. You don’t need to have read the rest of the series to read this one it helps but not necessary. I can’t wait for the next one in the series.

Bad Girlfriend by Elise Faber

4 Star

Tammy doesn't do relationships.  Whenever someone gets to close she cuts them off.  She is happier alone.  When her co-worker Fletcher begs her for a massive favor she will have to reevaluate he stance.  Fletcher has to go to his brothers wedding where his ex fiancé will be with her new husband.  He already told his family he's moved on but he hasn't.  The biggest slip up was telling his mom Tammy's name and now he has to talk her into helping him.

I really loved these two.  It was super cute co-workers to lovers story.  I loved how Fletcher wiggled his way into her heart to the point she didn't want to walk away from him.  The big blow up was incredible funny.  I don't know if it was meant to be but I liked how Fletcher stormed into the big boss' office to ream her out for hurting Tammy.  Then when Tammy finds out the truth it was so cute.  I really enjoyed this story and it was a good addition to the series.

Bad Wedding by Elise Faber

3 Star

Molly Miller was left at the alter and no one knew where Jackson was.  When she goes to the police, she is told to leave him alone.  When she gets home, she finds all of his things gone.  Instead of staying she moves and decides she will make a success of her restaurant.  When Jackson comes back into her life, she wants nothing to do with him.  His reasons don’t matter until they do.  Will she be able to forgive him?

We FINALLY get to find out what happened with Daniel from the series KTS.  He kidnaps Molly in this book that leads into that series.  Things now make sense in that series.  Besides that, this book was just ok.  It wasn’t my favorite and quite frankly Jackson is an asshole who screwed her over and then didn’t really like the fact she wanted to boot him completely from her life.  After finishing the book, I still say she deserves better.

Bad Blind Date by Elise Faber

4 Star

Trixie has spent years working as a nurse with Doctors without borders now she is ready to have a home and reconnect with her sister Heather.  Heather in her marital bliss wants all around her to be happy so sets Trixie up with a friend of her husband. What she finds when she arrives is the man that broke her heart.  She gave him everything and he abandoned her.  Jet walked away from the woman he loved because he felt she was holding back.  Now he wants her but isn’t sure she is open to a new relationship.

Jet was such a dick.  Leaves without telling her and I LOVE she calls him on his bullshit.  Like if you felt she wasn’t being open then talk it out instead you pack up and leave.  She makes him work for it.  I loved that it wasn’t insta forgiveness.  Once you find out both backstories it all makes more sense why they reacted the way they did.  Really enjoyed their story.

Bad Boyfriend by Elise Faber

2 Star

Kelsey lives for her hookups.  She is no longer interested in a permanent relationship because the one time she got series she got burned.  She gave her everything to Tanner and he left her.  Tanner is asked to come home and be a groomsman and be paired up with his ex.  Burned out from life he packs up and moves home to try and win Kelsey over.

I really didn’t like Tanner at all.  He was a major dick and Kelsey just kind of takes him back without much fuss.  It is frustrating that he can be a dick and she is willing to put up with it. Gr I will be skipping this in reread.

Bad Fiancé by Elise Faber

3 Star

Seraphina is gorgeous and so sweet.  At least that is what everyone expects from her.  She’s trying to sell a house to billionaire Tate instead she gets propositioned to be his fake fiancé to help him bring an investor in.

This frustrated me so much.  Tate literally fell in love with the look of Sera.  Eventually he learns who she is but for most of the book, it’s all about her looks.  This is something she was against but she fell for him anyways, so I was frustrated with this book from the beginning. Not to mention the fact that friends she has had her entire life apparently don’t know who she is.  Why are you still friends with them if they don’t know you?  Overall, I was frustrated with this book.

Bad Divorce by Elise Faber

3 Star

Bec Darden is a high-powered attorney.  She never planned on seeing her ex-husband Luke again.  The problem they aren’t technically divorced.  It isn’t discovered until he was looking for a new license to marry his current girlfriend.  He’s now decided he wants her back and will do whatever he can to win her over.

I LOVE Bec and this really disappointed me.  Luke was literally about to marry someone else and all of sudden decides well I am still married so I guess I love her soooo much I must go win her over.  He was a major ass and I just never really got past his reason for leaving the first time or why he now decided to get her back.  Writing was good and it was cute to see what he would do to win her back but not a fan.

Bad Hook Up by Elise Faber

3 Star

Rachel never thought she would hook up with someone, but she did.  Then she thought she would never see him again but then her boss got married and she found out her boss’ new husband’s assistant is the man she hooked up with.  Sebastian felt bad about not leaving a number and leaving her, but he had work to do.  When they meet back up, they can’t stay away from each other.  However, Rachel is hiding something.  Will Sebastian be able to break through her defenses and win her over?

This one was ok.  The writing was there but I was not a huge fan of Rachel or Sebastian.  I also got frustrated with how Rachel’s ex was handled.  Sebastian knew she was being stalked and had been in an abusive relationship and yet she doesn’t respond to his messages for a while, and it doesn’t click he should be worried…Really? Overall, it was ok and it fit with the series but it wasn’t one of my favorites.

Bad Husband by Elise Faber

4 Star

Heather is tough as nails CEO of RoboTech.  She is too busy for love but she wants it.  When she helps her friends elope she goes out drinking and wakes up married to Clay Steele.  Will they stay married and make it work?

I really enjoyed reading this.  I liked both Heather and Clay.  They weren't sure if they would stay together or not and you can see the struggle of trying to balance two very busy schedules.  The mess up was amusing and I do like the fact that there wasn't a big blow up.  Really good addition to the series.

Bad Break up by Elise Faber

3 Star

Cecelia is finally getting to travel after years of work and taking care of others.  What she wasn’t planning on was having her ex be her seat mate. She hasn’t seen Collin since he broke her heart, and she doesn’t want to see him now.  Collin thought it was fate he ended up on the plane next to the one woman he loved.  He is determined to win her back after leaving her not once but twice.  Will he be able to win her over?

The writing was like all her other books, but this book just didn't work well for me. I was confused as to what broke them up the first and second time.  You do find out some of what broke them up the second time but I was still left confused. Cecelia's parents felt like an after thought.  She gets some random call out of the blue from her mom and that's all we get.  One of the big reasons for there break up was Colin’s family and you only really get the one scene with them as well.  Overall the book left me wanting.

Bad Night Stand Elise Faber

4 Star

Abby is out for the night with her friend Seraphin when she is hit on by some guy. She assumes he is just trying to get with her friend but Jordan wants her. She takes him home and has the worst one-night stand ever. When Jordan books it right after his completion without any satisfaction for her she takes the hit and plans to forget him. What she doesn't plan for is a failed IUD and an accidental pregnancy. What happens next is a whole lot of miscommunications. Will Jordan find away to make it up to Abby?

I enjoyed this book.  I wanted to kill Jordan several times over but when you get his whole history you can kind of see why he behaved the way he did. Abby also made him work for it. There was no insta forgiveness he had to prove himself to her.  I also liked the interplay between Abby and her friends and I can't wait to get to their stories. Overall a good start to a new series.

Bad Swipe by Elise Faber

3.5 stars

Stef is tired of being alone so she signs up for tinder. She finds the perfect guy in Ben and after the first conversation she ghosts him. He's too good for her until one fateful night out with friends where she has too much to drink and drunk messages him. Ben's assistant signed him up for tinder because he needs more than work. When he sees Stef's picture, he is very interested but moves on when she ghosts him but is all in when he picks her up after a night of drinking. He's determined to show her he's all in but she needs the proof after years of being abandoned by everyone. They have the perfect relationship until some major details are leaked about an upcoming project Ben's company is doing. When he accuses her of being the leak and kicking her out.  Will she be able to forgive him when the real leaker is discovered?

The writing was spot on for this book it just hit two tropes I don't like. The first being they meet and fall into bed within hours of meeting. The second being insta forgiveness. I enjoyed the story. It was fun seeing Ben prove to Stef he was going to be there for her until he kicked her out. That part came out of left field but it worked. I do feel Stef forgave Ben way too quickly. She was injured when he booted her without any proof just assumed she was the guilty person. Both these issues didn't make me hate the story but I did put the book down for a couple days when they hooked up because I wasn't interested. Overall, it fits with the series and I did like it.

Bad Bridesmaid by Elise Faber

4 Star

It started with a cock of the rooster variety.  It ended with the groom's brother in the wedding cake.  Kate had had one night Brad before he did a runner.  Now he's back and wants to make it right.  However, Kate isn't sure she can handle him disappearing on her again.  She deserves someone who will be there for her.  Will Brad have staying power this time or will he get a travel bug and disappear on her?

The title doesn't really match with what the book is about but I enjoyed it a lot.  I loved the wedding scene where the rooster escaped his cage and caused Brad to destroy the wedding cake.  There were parts of the book that brought on all the feels as well as making me laugh.  I loved how Brad proved himself to Kate.  Overall, just a really quick, light hearted read.

Bad Engagement by Elise Faber

3.5 Star

Kate McLeod is tired of everyone trying to set her up with men since she is the last McLeod unmarried.  When her mother tries to set her up and won’t take no for an answer she blurts out that she’s engaged.  With that statement she now needs to find a man to fill the role.  She’s lusted after Jaime as the hot vet now to get him to agree to be her fake fiancé.

I enjoyed this story though as I read it I could have sworn I’ve read this book before by a different author but it was just so similar.  There were parts that frustrated me like why fiancé and not boyfriend.  I liked Kate and Jaime but felt like there needed more backstory.  It is part of series and I haven’t read all of them so the backstory could be there I just haven’t read.  I am also confused why this is billionaire’s club as there was no billionaires.  I also felt the conflict between them was so contrived.  If she was that upset she should have confronted him instead of ignoring him.  It was very childish.  Overall I enjoyed the book just little things bothered me.
