Joanna and her men just want to spend their holidays
together relaxing but family obligation sends them to Callum’s family home.
Callum’s father Duncan is the worst, and he is claiming war is coming and wants
Callum to help prepare for the war. When the worst happens, and Joanna is
kidnapped will her men be able to get her safe?
I really enjoyed the first book but felt there needed to be
more world building. This one confirms the need for more world building. I have
no idea where anything is or why some have magic, and some don’t. I did enjoy
learning more about Callan. Does end with the next book being set up so a bit
of a cliff hanger esq ending.
