Alice's family is desperate for help as her brother gambled
away the family money. She heads into Briar Forest hoping the Fae Lord will buy
some paintings from her and that will save her family. When her carriage is swarmed
by bandits she's saved by a masked man. He tries to talk her out of going to
the castle, but she ignores him. Lord Ambrose isn't who she expected and the
more he pushes her away the more she wants to stay. She's drawn to him and her
masked man. Who will she pick?
I enjoyed this one for the most part. It had some very
obvious parts like the masked man. I liked the take on Beauty and the beast,
but it doesn't feel like a complete story. Writing was good but need more out
of the story.
