Lou “ran away” from her home in Connecticut to Colorado. She needed a change and wanted to go into
search and rescue. Everything was going
fine until ice water rescue training.
She discovers a dead body. While
trying to track down who the dead man was when strange things begin happening
to her. Her hot supervisor Callum Cook
insists on helping her on her investigation as well as when things start going
wonky.
I enjoyed reading this book.
It was a straight romance with a few twists in it. There was at one point a too stupid to live
moment with Lou after her tire was cut the second time. She said there couldn’t possible be anyone in
her life who would want to harm her.
This was literally pages after having an massive argument with her
mother who was trying to force her into a relationship she didn’t want to be
in. However, none of that was relevant at
all for the police to know. The back guy
was predictable, but it was interesting to see how the book ends. I’ll be interested to see where the series
goes.
