3.5 Star
Humiliated and left broke by her divorce Riley is trying to
ignore her hallucinations. Until she things she’s seen start coming true. When
a hot PI, Nick, shows up on her step asking questions about her neighbor she
gets drawn into an investigation. She has a vision of the neighbor dying she
tries to prevent it but doesn’t. Now she is being accused of murdering him.
With the help of Nick will she be able to clear her name?
This was an interesting cozy mystery. By the end I liked it
but the beginning was confusing and I nearly stopped reading it. It seemed like
she didn’t believe in her psychic abilities but then later in the book she
talks about the family heritage of psychic powers. I liked Riley and Nick
together. He had more faith in her abilities then she did. I also loved all the
old people Riley lived with. The ending was a nice twist. Overall, the good
outweighed the bad and I will check out book two.
