The fourth wall is broken with this one. That didn’t bother me but what did bother me was I wanted more plot and world building. This is basically sex and that’s it. If you want some nonconsent sex this might work for you.

Quick and spicy alien romance. Nothing super special about this book but it was a fun read. Needed some world building and character development to flesh out the stories BUT this could be lacking because I started in book 10 and not 1. It was an insta love situation. The story itself was interesting and unique. If you like alien romances this probably will work for you.

The first book was so good that I went in hoping this one would be awesome. I ended up being let down. I struggled with falling into this one and kept putting it down to do other things. It took about 50% of the book for me to stop doing that and finally blow through the book. I love how it ended and hope there are more in this world because one thing Zoey Draven does really well is world building.

Olivia and Thel are heading back to ISU’s capital Helion. She knows things are going to be chaotic as she is the first woken human as well as being mated to the hottest up and comer politician. When false evidence is released to the media indicating that Thel kidnapped and abused Olivia. Will this smear campaign tear them apart?

This was a continuation of Thel and Olivia love story. It was ok. It added to book one but I might have been disappointed as I was looking forward to other characters and their stories. Particularly because of how book 1 ended. Still good and I will be picking up book 3 to see what happens.

The first alien she runs into Damon is everything she wants but isn’t who she’s supposed to be with, but he will earn more money and he wants to get her more money. How will this play out?

It was ok. It had some plot with the sex. I loved that the Melody was all about getting hers even if that meant giving up her V card. I would have liked some more world building because all of these people came from different worlds and it was mentioned but not elaborated on.

What she wasn’t expecting was the instant connection with Knightmaster Ashtin Caydor and then for the ball to be assaulted, the queen taken, and evidence pointing to humans being behind the whole thing. Kennedy is determined to prove earth had nothing to do with it.

I loved this spin off series. It has everything I like about an alien romance. The one issue I had was how quickly Ashtin was to jump to the earth convoy being responsible for the kidnapping of his queen. Pacing was slightly off for me. It was going along nicely then it flew to Ashtin and Kennedy almost hooking up to the queen getting kidnapped. It was a bit jarring. Good start to a new series.

If you are looking for an alien romance this is a pretty standard romance set on another planet with aliens. Writing was fine but I think my biggest issue was I binged read the other two right before this and that led to me being more meh about this as they are all very similar.

When he discovers humans there, when they shouldn’t be there, his priorities might have changed. The woman with them is his type and he will do anything to keep her safe.

Where I loved the original series, I struggled with this one. I kept putting the book down and doing other things while I was reading it. It was just really slow and repeated a lot of info from the original series. This might have been a problem because of binge reading the series. The writing was still good and on par with the other books I’ve read so going to give it a break and come back to read the rest of the series.

They match her with Olix. His planet is known for hunting. They don’t believe in farming and find Susan weird and disconcerting when she starts farming. All of these differences lead Olix to believe the agency was mistaken in matching them. Can they find some common ground and get their happily ever after?

This was fine. I liked the first one better than this one. There were aspects of the book that just frustrated me. If Susan and Olix had just talked about things there might not have been so much conflict. I get it that’s the point of the book but it was frustrating me.

Rihanna is given the option to spend twenty years on a prison planet or agree to marry grumpy orc-minotaur Zatruk. He’s trying to unite his people and keep them safe and isn’t sure the small weak human can help him with this. Will they find a way to work together to help their people?

I enjoyed this book. You can see their relationship grow and change the longer they are together. The writing was funny, and it helped me connect to the characters. Overall, it was a pretty light alien romance and worth a read.

When the ship they are on crash lands on a strange planet she’s forced to work with and trust the injured alien in hopes of making it home to earth. Jakkar was on a mission to find a new planet for his people when he was taken and imprisoned. He’s forbidden from mating with someone outside his race but when he meets Anna he can’t walk away. Can the survivors find safety and happiness on this new planet?

I have never been so happy to read a series out of order than I was with this book. Hanna in the hitman was free which is why I read that first, loved it, and then I went back to read this one. I figured that if I liked Hanna, I would like this one and I did not. I struggled to finish it and if I’d started with this book, I’d never would have read Hanna and the Hitman.  I didn’t like Jakkar was up until the very end of the book I can’t be with Anna. Nothing is worth losing my people for but he won’t stay away from her. Every time he does this it hurts Anna. I like a good dark or bully romance, but this was just cruel. It literally took his best friend telling him she would be worth being outcast for him to get it through his thick skull. She of course felt it was perfectly fine to forgive him instantly. This makes me sad because it was an interesting take on space aliens. Since I liked the 8th one, I'm going to try to read the 2^nd-7^th ones to see if they get better as she writes more.

Hanna's been kidnapped from Earth and is now being treated like a performing animal. Kept on display in seedy bar in a cage she wants out. The help comes from an unexpected source, an alien warrior. Aidon  frees her but isn't sure what to do with her. He knows he needs to get out of the bar and off planet. How he will do this he's not sure or what to do with this strange female. The more time they spend together the less he wants to part with her but his planet is dangerous. Will he keep her?

The story was predictable but hit all the right notes for me. I liked gruff Aidon and Hanna never gave up even though she had been given a crappy situation. I liked the dynamics between them and that ultimately Hanna just wanted him. It was a super quick read.

This felt like a serial. Going over the same details irritated me, I liked the conclusion overall. I just wanted a little more editing and new story.

Stowing away on a ship probably not so smart. The zyanthan who owns the ship claims all on board as his. This now includes her whether she likes it or not. He's on a mission and can use her to help him get what he needs. When all the secrets are revealed will they be able to get past the lies?

Ruby frustrated me so much. She had no faith that Torin was there to help. She caused a lot of her own problems. There were many times she was TSTL. On the flip side I adored Torin and he deserved a better mate. Still good enough to continue the series.

They want information on the aliens and will use her to get what they want. The only way to keep her safe is to rely on Kail. Will they figure out What they want Riana for before it is too late?

This one didn't work as well for me as the other books did. It felt like a pacing issue. It was a lot of action and then nothing, rinse and repeat. The characters also did a 180 on this personality without a good reason. still good but not my favorite.

Kordolians rescued Noa from the strange research facility when they rescued Abbey. She doesn't know what to think or do with them. She has their thoughts in her head and all she wants is quiet. She meets one alien who has similar gift as she has may be able to help her. The problem is Ashrael has been brainwashed and ordered to take out Tarak and Abbey. Tarak is trying to save him and when he sees how he reacts to Noa he's willing to give both a chance. Will they find away to survive?

We finally get a conclusion with the queen. It was awesome. I loved Noa and Ashrael relationship. They balance each other out and help each other with their trauma.

When some of her men attack Rykal, he takes care of them before she can and it leads to even more tension. When the ship is attacked and they need to vacate immediately will the humans and Kordolians work together to save everyone?

This one was a little different from the other ones. There was still the romance between Arin and Rykal but it was more political issues and drama between human and alien.

Tarak and Abbey are back. He's still trying to put fires out but with Abbey pregnant he wants to be home with her and take care of them. Problems come to their door. Will Tarak be able to keep her and the baby safe?

I liked revisiting Tarak and Abbey. This made their story be more rounded and I loved seeing an established relationship as it allowed the author to jump right in. This is listed as book 4 but is better read as3 as it gives away somethings for that book as couple for book 4 are already together in this one. If you've liked the other two books you will like this one.

Back on Fortuna Tau, Jia is first- rank mechanic trying to repair Kordolians battle cruiser with no success. When she goes to find something that will help, she's aided by second in command Kalan. He's dark and broody which perplexes her as to why he's willing to help her. When she's attacked by the Xargek still on the spaces station When she's attacked by the Xargek still on the spaces station he rescues her but when they continue to find more and need to evac everyone will they be able to get everyone to safety?

I loved these two. They were classic opposites attract. Jia is super smart and even though she's not as strong as Tarak she saves herself and him. When you think everyone is safe ish nope.You get drawn into more chaos and it worked for me.

Prince Kalikian Kazharan  is trying to find away to convince all of Earth that the Kordolians don't mean any harm to them and just want a home away from the queen. He accepts an opportunity to be interviewed by reporter Sera Aquinas hoping that interview will clear up some misconceptions. Even though Sera thinks he's one fine looking man her experience is people lie all the time. Will she discover all his truths without falling for him?

I enjoyed learning about the prince's background and why he wanted his mom dead. Sera was a nice strong woman and they worked well together. The one downside was Kordolians seem to have the same personality and since I just read book 1 it was very obvious. I liked it enough to keep reading the series.
