Detective Jude Fontaine was held for three years. She was kept in an underground cell where she
was raped, beaten, and tortured almost daily.
She escapes and runs home not realizing how much time has passed. Her boyfriend has moved on and everyone she
knew thought she was dead. After a
number of months she is able to get back on the force in her former position
but with a new partner, Detective Uriah Ashby.
They are trying to track down a new killer who is murdering young women.
I loved this book. It
was well written and even though I figured out who the main bad guys were there
were still a number of twists I didn’t see coming. It was an amazing story to read to find how
she comes back from three years of hell to mostly functioning adult. I kind of want more books with these
characters.
