I loved book 1 and it got a rare 5 stars out of me. I needed this one immediately. When I got this one, the guys didn't suffer nearly enough for all they put her through. I enjoyed the journey but wanted them to suffer more but she ended up paying for it. I loved the side characters and want more.

Even if these small parts of her are all we ever get.

I was still so angry while reading this book. Not so much with the pack but with the people who refused to let things play out and see if Kennedy would get better. I knew someone was making it difficult for them but when it came out I was surprised. I liked how their HEA came about.

I can’t believe it took me so long to read this duology. I loved the heartbreak in book one. I questioned so many things about the alphas and why they didn’t make an effort to talk with Kennedy. They just decided she was horrid and walked away. When they do finally start to realize something wasn’t right and started question I might have been super mad at all of them. When she reveals to them everything she went through my heart broke for her. She went through it and then lost them, her only family. The ending was just so much and I was glad book 2 was out and I could jump into it immediately.

My life has already been mapped out. Every milestone, every important moment, clearly defined and placed into a pretty little box, courtesy of my father and my apparent fiancé.

When River, Jenson and Kai stroll into my life, it feels like a detonation. As though my veins are alight with fire. For the first time in my life, I’m awash with feeling.

But then they offer me a deal. It’s indecent. It’s wrong. It goes against everything I’ve ever been told.

But if it’s so wrong… why is being theirs the first time in my life that I’ve felt right?

I waffle on the rating for only one reason. I wanted a better formed ending. It felt incomplete. I loved the book. The smexy time was different but well done. Not a normal kink I’ve read before but it was handled well. The backstory with the guys and Briar was really well plotted out and I loved learning about all of it. The conflict between the Briar, her dad, and her sort of fiancé was engaging. What fell flat was the ending. I didn’t feel like we got enough of what happened with Briar’s dad. It’s left open ended and I want to know he got what he deserved. The sort of fiancé definitely did. Will read more by her.

And Fallon really needs this job. Any job. More than Teddy could possibly know.

But when she walks through the doors of Ink & Quill, she’s not expecting them. The Quill pack are charming, protective as hell, and oddly interested in her. Not to mention, they all smell delicious.

Teddy, Fox, Wilder, Zeke and Rowan are almost too tempting to resist. And as Fallon gets to know them, she begins to wish that things could be different.

Because there’s just one problem.

Fallon already has a pack. A pack who are Ink & Quill’s biggest competitors.

And she’s only staying until she can earn enough money to run as far away from them as possible.

This was gearing up to be a 4 star read for me until the end. It was too abrupt. I loved the FMC and the pack she ends up with. They were all in and wanted to take care of her from the get go. The guys she was with need consequences and we don’t see them getting that in the book. Which with what they did was so not ok for me. Overall, the writing was good, the characters were good, but the plot needed some work.

Nova is just an omega looking for her forever pack, but people are working against her who should be protecting her. I love the struggle and the guys who help her even though it’s for selfish reasons. It was well paced and had good character development. Give it a shot.

This would have been 5 stars review except I don’t think Stasi actually had smexy time with all of her men. I still loved the book and felt it was a nice balance of bullying and groveling to make up for the bullying. I loved how it all played out with Stasi and the guys. I can’t wait for the next book to see what else the author does.

Mafia University is where all the heirs are educated on all things dark and violent. Alliances and enemies are made in blood. As the sole female heir, Caterina, has to keep everyone at an arm’s length and can only rely on her enforcer and best friend. When things go down with her father who can she rely on and trust and who is out to take her down?

I am not a fan of mafia books at all. The reality of mafia life doesn’t usually translate into a romance book for me. This book worked for me. I loved the darkness and the violence in it. It didn’t shy away from the things about mafia life I don’t like but took those head on. I loved seeing the struggle Caterina had with who to trust. I have several guesses as to things that were alluded to and can’t wait to see how it all plays out. Why I have to wait until April is probably the only thing that is ticking me off right now.

Kept in a cage her entire life, Zella never knew anything else until she was broken out and held by Maverick, Ryder, and Enzo. They are dark and dangerous men who don’t feel they are good enough for Zella. They have blood on their hands and have dark tastes and she’s innocent. The more time they spend together the more she wants them even with all their dark edges. Will they be able to keep her safe from the man who kept her or will he get her back?

Modern day retelling of Rapunzel with a why choose twist. It was a dark retelling which makes sense when you consider the original fairy tale. Zel is very Pollyanna esq character while the guys are as dark as a character can be. All of them have issues they are working on. I loved that the guys weren’t sure what to do with Zel and when they realized they all wanted her didn’t think they deserved her. It just worked for me, but I have a love of a well written retelling of a fairytale.

Omega Fallen by Evelyn Flood

It’s been five years since the collapse of Omega Creed. Things are better but not perfect for everyone. Cade, Axel, Hudson and Nate have everything but an omega but they are waiting for the perfect match. When they each individually run into Gabrielle, an omega in desperate need of help, they all want her and want to help her. However, she’s damaged and isn’t sure she wants to be anyone’s omega. Will they find away to help her?

This one take place years after the last book and shows what the omegas are currently dealing with since they’ve been freed. I really enjoyed seeing what’s happening and it isn’t all sunshine and daisies. With the pack, I liked seeing them struggles the pack went thought to get their omega to trust them. I loved watching her come into her own. It was a good addition to the series.

Sienna Michaels has been waiting forever for a chance at a pack and family. She’s finally gotten the invitation to the Bonding Trials where she is assigned a pack. She is matched with the Cohen pack, Tristan, Jax, Logan, and Gray. They are her soul bonds and are meant to be. What she wasn’t expecting was for them to be blackmailed into denying her. Someone wants her to be denied which will outcast her and she will be forbidden from entering another agreement and the city. The pack has all the options available, but she doesn’t. No matter what they do to her she has to stick it out, so she’s not denied. Will the pack find a way to claim her, or will she be denied?

I loved this book so much. It is so much emotional damage but in the best way possible. I would not recommend reading this if book 2 isn’t out as it ends on a massive cliffhanger ending that made me so incredibly angry. Like through the entire book I was saying the guys better figure out the best way to fix this because they were massive assholes to her. They never get the chance and that will probably be book two. I very much finished it and wanted to reread it to find things I missed in the first read through. I’ve had a string of 2 star books and this one just hit all the notes for me and I absolutely loved it. Definitely pick it up and read…maybe read it after book 2 is out.

Omega Found by Evelyn Flood

There was a war on who got to control the omegas and the omegas lost. They are now all sent to a training facility to be conditioned and than given to the best match for them.  The reality is they are given to Alphas who are in favor with the government. Harper is one of those omegas. She rebelled and was retrained in the worst way. Now her spirit is broken and she's given to the Winter pack. They don't want her but can't say no. She starts to trust them when it all goes to hell. Can they save her and all the other Omegas?

This was an interesting take on omegaverse. All omegas are property and given to these the government deems appropriate. Harper is determined to be strong and not bend until she's put in for new training. It was bad and only alluded to. There are certain rules an omega has to follow even if the alphas don't agree. Harper thinks they are perfect for her as they don't seem to be alphas wanting to follow the rules until a misunderstanding. They seemed to be back on track when Harper is kidnapped and that's where the book ends. It doesn't have a follow up until November and I am so mad. Still picking it up but I'm still mad.
