When I return to Winter Grove early and end up relying on the pack to help me out, I’m sure it’s a new form of torture. Instead, I find myself growing closer to August and Foster. I can’t help but think they’re dragging me deeper underwater, with no intention of letting me up for air anytime soon.

To add to the confusion, a new arrival at the university has a grudge against the pack, and she knows that getting to them is easier when she’s targeting anyone who’s more vulnerable than the boys.

And that might include me, despite how much I want to stay out of it.

But when she goes after my place at Winter Grove and the pack that I might be willing to call my own, will I just let her? Or will I take a few lessons from my vile boys and show her I’m not so quick to surrender?

Picks up rightish where the last ends. You get more info about each of the guys. The struggle Mercy has with her new roommate is something everyone can relate to. The secondary story behind the romance was better in this one. It fleshed out the guys' past. I loved that they came together to help Mercy. Overall, a good duology.

I did love this book. It was a good story but there were issues with the secondary plot. Mercy is both strong and weak. She is on her own and is somewhat sheltered. She isn't willing to put up with the alphas being dicks but also caves to Dorian, Foster, and August. If the entire story was about what the Vile Boys do to Mercy throughout the story would be a solid 4 stars, but it wasn't. There is a murder on campus that they get dragged into. This part of the book isn't well developed at all. Mentioned in passing until they all get dragged into it. It didn't really add to the story. Overall good "bully" romance. Can't wait to see what book 2 has to bring.

No world or character building so it was just meh.

This book was a good idea but had issues. First, more world building and character development. The second was pacing. The story plods and then zooms. Which made it a struggle. There were also issues with how things played out. Like how were the "bad" guys able to find them? It's never explained. It was a good idea but just needed more.

The last couple of chapters ruined this book for me. The book was going along nicely, and I was enjoying how everything was playing out. There's a point where everything goes from plodding along to rush rush rush must conclude the story to the point it hurt the story. It felt like the author was having fun and then realized her word count was close, so they had to finish. The first half was a solid 4 the last bit was a 2 so 3 stars - very disappointing.

I enjoyed the journey but wanted them to suffer more but she ended up paying for it. I loved the side characters and want more.

Interesting idea that was poorly implemented. It felt like there was a whole story prior to this one which led to me being confused. It was like an epilogue to a story. I want the backstory that leads into this one. Because of the short length there isn't any development of the characters. The world was developed in other books. Overall skip and read something else.

I wanted to like this more but struggled with Hazel’s character. She started off so strong and then just kind of fizzled out and became super weak by the end. Speaking of the end. It was very abrupt and needed more to round out the HEA.

The guys were adorable and I loved them. Sunny, I had issues with. Her twin brother is never told what happened and he discovers on his own what she’s been going through. He is rightfully angry about it. Then he’s forgotten all over again. The story also went on way too long. Overall, enjoyed but small issues.

I loved this take on fated mates. I loved the pack and how FMC fit in with them. The bad guy was obvious. My biggest issue was her family was mentioned but never followed up with at all and it felt like it should have been. Overall, it was a good read.

She was never a priority for the rest of the pack. It made me so mad that all the guys put Tristan last. It was all little rejections in the pack. Everything was overly complicated between pack members. Not to mention how discombobulated things were because they tried to include things from other books. It’s a rare bad book from this author.

This was a short and quick read. Not a lot of world or character building. I felt like things were missing but they may have been in book 1. I still enjoyed the overall story and the spice level.

This book and the first book should have been one book. There wasn’t enough information in this that justified a second book. The plot was dragged out and I was bored during parts of the story. Add in the lack of groveling by the guys who rejected her. This book was a bit of a disappointment.

This book ends on a cliffhanger ending. I enjoyed the drama and the trauma Omen and the guys were dealing with. The guys screw up so much and Omen ends up on the run from her birth family and rejected by her mates. The book had so many feelings and it was an interesting read.

Gave this the Best book of the year for 2025. I loved Torion and Brigid. They had so much chemistry and the give and take between them was awesome. I don’t know how else to describe their relationship other than it was comfortable. It felt like they had been together for years and not just coming together. There were some miscommunications between them that is resolved pretty quickly. I love what happens to Brigid’s former mate. He definitely gets what he deserves.

Lexa thinks about the safety of her daughter and she agrees to meet the first of her prospective mates. His identity shocks her and his clever tongue makes her head spin.
The next prospect is terrifying, adorable, and enthusiastic. She gets lost in his arms and she agrees to his protection. Her original mate from years ago is willing to stand aside and act as guardian, but it doesn’t feel right to ignore him. Their connection feels like it was never broken and her heart aches for him.
Can she really start anew with the man from her past and two charming strangers?

I loved seeing FMC get her HEA in this book after meeting her in the last book. She had such a hard life up to this point and was so strong but when the guys come in to help it was such a cute story. I was so happy the people who were horrid got what was coming to them in the end.

She is gaining confidence, friends, and now there is one thing to do…go on dates with her mates. Oh, and she had to finish a very important memoir.
Putting her pain on the page is difficult, but the reaction is beyond what she could imagine. A bidding war for her memoir spurs legal action and before long she finds herself in court. Does she have the right to tell her story with all the documentation that the Omega Centre found, or does her sleepy home town get to remain oblivious to their part in the most heinous act of aggression on an omega in the last two decades. Is honesty the best policy or should she forget about the pain?
Life continues and she finds that getting surprised by another heat is uncomfortable while she is having dinner with the in-laws and her mates can’t get her home. She is really glad that Ford has been helping her make friends because she really needs one now.

Part two was so worth it. I loved how much FMC continued to grow and change and demand the future she wanted. I loved the male omega and the guys learning how to make the woman in their lives happy. It does conclude their HEA and it was worth reading every minute of the book.

There is an emergency and they are going to be hosting a guest.

No one said the guest would be an alpha.

What follows is a meeting, a realization and a rescue that changes not only Olivia’s life, but that of her pride as well.

Argus is just going to a family wedding rehearsal when he begins hearing the phrase defective omega. He has researched a lot of omegas and there is no such thing as a defective one. When he realizes that these words are describing the dainty little woman who helped his panthers get settled, he has a quick discussion with his pride mates and they head off to rescue the omega in question. With any luck, she will choose them. If not, they will have to charm her. Either way, Olivia is theirs.

Was this book the best book ever…No but it was like kitten nip for me. I enjoyed reading this book so much. It was an interesting take on omegaverse. I loved the FMC was choosing herself vs the pack who saved her. I know it was part one of two going into it but it needed both books. I loved how the MMC Omega was with her and wanted to teach her everything and keep her. Will be reading the next one ASAP.

I liked the idea of this story but the actual implementation was lacking. I wanted to know why there weren’t any big consequences for the alphas who hurt Lena. The pack she ends up with don’t really make up for how they acted after the heat ended. Also no one questions the amount of sex that she had in library. Yes it happened during a storm but you're telling me no one noticed afterwards. Overall, it was a meh read and I this was a second attempt at reading this author. This one wasn't better than the last one so I am done trying.
