Eclipse the Moon by Jessie Mihalik

4 Star

Kee Ildez is a hacker by trade. When her captain needs info only, she can get she will do anything to help. Her plan is to stay on the station, keep her head down, and see if anything Shakes loose. What she wasn't planning on was quiet, grumpy Valovian, Varro, following her she wants him, but he's made it clear he's not interested, since he won't leave her alone and insists on helping will they get some answers?

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the struggle between Kee and Varro. The overall story moved along nicely. We got some answers but got more to discover in future books. I am very curious to see how things resolve and I need the next book now.

Librarian and the Orc by Finley Fenn

3 Star

Rosa works in the librarian in hopes of going to School. An Orc shows up to use the library and when he won't leave, she tries to bribe him. He shows no interest, he just wants the books. When she's asked by her lord to write a paper that shows how evil orcs are she agrees. What She finds just doesn't match with what she’s been told. Will she surrender to her dark desires with her orc?

I actually liked this one way more than the last one. The orcs aren't using her for anything. She's honest with them to a point. In the end the orcs save her and help her. I'll be giving the next one a chance .

Fated Mates by Alicia Montgomery

4 stars

Alynna Chase never knew werewolves existed until working a job as a private investigator she runs into a werewolf shifter.  She discovers that her dad didn't abandon her as a child but was a faded mate to her to her mother and on the day of her birth he died in a car accident with no one the wiser to who she was. With this discovery she finds out she has a half-brother and a world of shifters who have rules and hierarchy that she will have to learn to live with. As she takes her place in Lycan society she will find that some of the rules chafe the most including one that revolves around Alex a bodyguard who works for her brother. He is off limits as he is not good enough for her personality rules it rules however when her life is in danger will he be able to stay away?

This one actually surprised me a lot. I enjoyed the give and take between Alynna and Alex. She has to find her footing in this new society and finding out that she has a brother and that she technically shouldn't be with the guy she's in love with but finding out that they’re fated mates makes it a little bit better. Was thoroughly amused by the brother in this story because he goes all in with having this little sister who must be protected even though she is well capable of taking care of herself and can’t stand the idea of her actually having a sex life.  The only thing that I really didn't like about this story was out Alex I felt that he was so wishy wash it and just irritated the crap out of me. One-minute he’s all in with her and then the next he’s ignoring her and going out on a date with someone else and he doesn't understand why she gets so upset and wants nothing to do with him at several points in the story and it's like dude you're literally on a date with someone else what did you expect. They end up working it out and he does make it up to her at the end, but it took a while, and it was very frustrating to get to that point. Overall, it was a really good start to a new series, and I would definitely check this series out.

Rejected Wolf, Rejected Mate, Rejected Alpha by Rae Foxx

2 stars

Just like with the other series by this author these 3 books you have to read all of them together to get the full story you can't read them separately there is no overarching theme through all of them but a completed story in between so you have to read all 3 of needs to get the full plot. So once again I'm reviewing them all together since you can't read them separately you can't just pick up book 2 and read that 1 and understand what's going on

Lizzie has spent her whole life trying to get away from her pack she is omega's daughter and she wants out because she's tired of taking care of all of them. She can't leave until her 18th birthday when she shifts for the 1st time.  When she shifts for the 1st time and realizes that her biggest bully and abuser is her faded mate, she is shocked and she doesn't want anything to do with him. What follows is the pack tries to kill her and let leave her to die in the desert. Vampire stumble upon her.  They nurse her back to health and make a deal with her show them where her pack lives and they will help her get her revenge. What she doesn't realize is there keeping secrets just like everyone in her home pack with keeping secrets from her will those secrets tear them apart?

I want to tell like this one it's an interesting promise you have a wolf with 4 vampires. It just did not work there were several things that just was kind of gross with their sex acts. There are some plot point holes that just couldn't be explained away. Ruth was supposed to be this character who was protecting her but never actually protected her to the point if she got left in the desert to die and didn't really seem to be going after her. Didn't really teach her anything to protect herself or learn about her family that had been killed by the current alpha it was a bunch of stuff that just didn't make sense. The overarching theme of the story the premise of it was interesting shifter rejected by me and rejected by meat ends up with 4 vampire mates instead who are taking on all of these horrible people who want her dad or want to meet with her because of her special special blood it was a really good idea just very poorly executed. I didn't waste any money on buying any of these books by Rae Foxx not the series or the last series I reviewed by her I got them through kindle unlimited and that is literally the only reason why I continue to read any of her books they were a nice distraction but even in my head as I'm reading them, I'm questioning things which make it less enjoyable and more frustrating.  I've read better rejected wolves’ books I've read worse I worse I've been in a kick for reading the rejected wolf I don't know why this one did not hit the mark.

Unforgivable by Leona Page

3 Star

Trigger Warning

Lyri has been rejected by her true mate. She was meant to be his Luna to his Alpha instead her mate's father declares her nulla venia. He also sets down the most severe punishment to set an example. She's starved and tied to a tree on the night of a full moon. Because she is the Luna other wolves are drawn to her and since she can't defend herself the worst happens. She would have died from the assault if not for Rhet, Ezra, and Thjis while nursing her back to health they fall for her and want her to be their mate will they win her over?

There were some hard parts to this story. There were also some very well written parts I wanted to beat the Alpha and his family so much. I loved seeing people stand up for Lyri for the wrongs against her. By the end of the book I felt the alpha family hadn't been punished enough for their actions but I did like how I everything, played out. Overall, I enjoyed the story and will read other books.

Knights Full of Magic by Angela Edgehart

1 star

Catryn knows her life isn't hers to decide. Princesses do as they are told. When her brother is approached by King Mythos for her hand, she knows her opinion doesn't matter. Mythos is a brute, but she will do her duty. When she arrives at his home, she wasn't expecting his mistress to be waiting or for her future husband to not want anything to do with her. When weird things start to happen will they figure out what is the cause before Mythos does something to start a war?

Just No! There is no world building. Things are thrown in as needed. The hate Mytho has for everyone is never explained. Mythos and Catryn aren't even married, and they both take lovers and neither seems to care. Which leads to no connection to the characters. Then there's the big everyone has amnesia which is mentioned in passing. This is mentioned once and never resolved. And finally, the book doesn't end well. Opting out of the rest of the series.
