Anna is juggling her family, boyfriend, and her legal cases.  Not to mention her lifelong stalker seems to be incredibly close.  All of this while trying to pick the perfect gift for Aiden.  Will she survive the holidays?

This book wraps up a lot of questions I’ve had, and it was worth the wait.  This is a book that it helps if you’ve at least read the first three books but isn’t necessary.  It will be interesting to see how Anna and Aiden work everything out.  I am also waiting impatiently for Anna’s sister’s book.  Overall, a good addition to the series and I finally got some answers.

Holiday Rescue by Rebecca Zanetti

Quint Albertini has spent his life being a smokejumper and in search and rescue.  He isn’t interested in a long-term relationship as he doesn’t think anyone would understand what he does and why he does it.  When he is called out to rescue a lost/injured hiker his careful plans of singlehood go to the wayside.  Heather Davis was just trying to spread her grandmother’s ashes when a winter storm came in faster than expected.  The attraction is instant, but not wanted.

I enjoyed seeing Quint get his happy ending but there were some issues.  One of which there wasn’t enough time to build character development.  You have to believe in insta love to believe the story as is.  The other issue I had was the way it ended.  Heather has a stalker.  The way it played out was just weird and not necessarily believable.  I enjoyed seeing another Albertini find love and the grandma playing matchmaker.  I look forward to the next book to find out if all my questions will be answered.

Anna and Devlin are back.  Devlin has been outed as an ATF agent.  He's all in with Anna until a woman from his past comes to town wanting him to go undercover as her man.  When the agent ends up murdered on Anna's porch Anna will need to figure out who did it to clear her name.  While dealing with murder charges she's also opening her own practice and dealing with meddling grannies.  Will she be able to clear her name and keep all those she loves safe? 

I enjoyed this book a lot.  Devlin's damn lucky Anna is so forgiving.  He caused her so much trouble in this book.  He causes the havoc but then tries to keep her in the dark to "protect" her and this just causes so much more trouble.  She ends up being investigated for the murder of his former partner as well as nearly killed.  I don't know many people who would be willing to put up with everything she puts up with.  I am not a huge fan of Devlin because of things that happened in books 1 and 2 and three doesn't really win me over either.  I still liked the book.  I am tired of them alluding to the Anna's kidnapper and would like some more solid information on him.  The other frustration was the meddling grannies.  They couple is clearly not ready for more but there was a whole lot of pushing that got old.  All of these were minor issues and I feel it was a good addition to the series.

Bailed Out by Rebecca Zanetti

Anna is struggling with Aiden disappearing for 2 weeks without a word, her boss firing everyone in the office, and then her sister’s abusive ex shows up as a defendant.  Things only get worse when she heads over to her sister’s house and finds her sister and Aiden standing over the dead body of the ex.  She will do anything to clear her sister even if it means Aiden goes down.  She hopes she can clear both of them.  Will she be able to discover who killed the ex?

Pretty much everything I thought about the last book that was hinted at was proven correct in this book.  I was happier reading this one then the first but the first had to do a lot of set up and this one could just jump into the story.  It was an interesting story that kept me reading.  I very much wanted to see how this one turned out.  There were some parts where Anna frustrated me and I wanted to slap her for being so rash but those were few and far between.  I really enjoyed how things worked out between her and Aiden.  It will be interesting to see how the next book concludes the story.

Disorderly Conduct by Rebecca Zanetti

Lawyer Anna Albertini expects to see people in orange jumpsuits at work but not her boss.  She never expected to come into work at the DA’s office and see her boss being arrested.  She’s forced to handle all of the work in the office until things are resolved.  Walking into court for her boss she finds the boy who saved her up on the docket.  Anna can’t believe Aiden could have gone that bad since he rescued her.  Between her boss’ arrest and Aiden’s case she is determined to investigate to find the answers to what is going on in her town.

I wanted to like this story more than I did.  It was a well written story and the mystery was interesting, but it left too many questions unanswered.  It wasn’t like some books where you have major cliffhanger type ending but there are some pretty big threads that still need to be tied off.  It will be interesting to see what questions are answered in the next book.

I know the review sounds negative, but it isn’t a bad book which is why 4 stars.  It comes down to personal preference on story for me.  I don’t know if others have a bingo card of book no’s but I do and this one if a lot of those for me.  There was a love triangle, men telling her to stay out of everything, unresolved backstory of the love interest, and a motorcycle gang.  It really is a good book and you should check it out.
