The book was so slow and took forever to get to the HEA. I also never got past Talen’s rejection of Elena. This is one I wish I skipped.

There was so much repetitiveness in this book. I started skimming the story to finish the story. I liked the king and he tries so hard to make up with his mate but she was just awful. I struggled so much with her character and why she did what she did. Overall, I would skip this one.

It was too long. Plus the characters irritated me. FMC is abused by everyone and falls into bed with MMC. He does everything but mate her. This mating would have protected her but nope lets let her be abused some more. It just didn’t work for me.

Reviewing together because it is the same comments for both books. These two books are set in a shared world and they don’t match with what the other books do. Which makes it a confusing read since I went in expecting certain things because shared world. I not only was disappointed by this but I also didn’t like the author’s writing style and just overall didn’t enjoy them. This is so disappointing as I love rejected mates.
