It’s not enough that he has a hockey contract and an omega. No, he and his family have decided to go after me because I had the poor judgment to date him.

At least I’ve got Clark and Tenzin–and things are heating up between all three of us. Yeah, I might just keep those two forever. Also, the New York Knights are my family and have my back.

My past is about to catch up to me, but my ex is the one who should be wary. There’s a good reason why I don’t talk to my family much.

I’ve decided that despite my past, despite being just a beta, I deserve good things–friends, a hockey career, and two cute alphas included. And I’m not going to let anyone stop me.

I liked this less than part one. I wish the books had been combined into one book. They could have been edited down to one book. Then you add in some threads not being tied up like Tenz’s baby. It was just meh.

They call me Ladybug.

I’m the only female EBUG for the New York Knights. I’m starting goalie for my university team. I’m also just a beta. At least according to my knothead ex. Ugh.

But I’ll show him. I’m going to focus and find what used to make me special as a goalie so I can get signed after graduation. Even if putting myself out there is a risk.

At least I have friends who will help me. Like Tenzin, the Knight’s new alpha defender, who like me is getting over a broken heart. And Clark, the alpha forward I befriended last season who is a skating ray of sunshine.

Maybe, just maybe, I’d like to be more than friends with Tenzin and Clark. There’s something there, something that could lead to a happily ever after–even if with my past I probably don’t deserve one.

My feelings for them grow by the day, but will they still care for me once they know what I’ve done?

I really enjoyed reading this book. I was so mad when it ended on a cliffhanger ending. I liked the relationship between Swen, Clark, and Tenz. The backstory and trauma for them was interesting to read. Definitely moving on to the next book.

Nothing’s ever easy in the Smooth family but I will find a way to get what I want.
I just hope my body doesn’t decide to betray me in the process.

This was an interesting take on omegas. I did struggle with the pacing in the book plus the guys. Mercy deserved better from everyone in the book. She just wanted to be her own person and everyone around her wanted her to fit the mold and stay in her box. The guys should have supported her but pushed and it led to problems. They didn’t have her back and it is hard to want them to get their HEA. The book does end with a cliffhanger ending and you will need to read book 2 to get the full story as nothing is resolved in this book.

Sweetheart Part One by Maria Mackay

Vex let down her guard at the wrong time and has been forced into a bond she doesn’t want. Her scent match pack doesn’t want an omega and can’t know she’s there to be used against them. She’s just the beta under contract but the longer she’s there the more she gets under their skin and makes them want more. They’re still massive assholes who don’t see the value in her until it is too late.

I waffled with this one. The first half of the book was so long because of the flashbacks to how she ended up where she was. It slowed the book down which made it seem longer than it was. It didn’t really add anything to the overall plot at all. Once those ended about halfway through the book I enjoyed the writing and the chapter headings got me laughing so hard. I did love how the book ended so much. It did end up on a cliffhanger ending. I saw the end coming and can’t wait for part 2 which should be out in November.

The Resurrected Queen by Jayce Carter

There is only one more person to take out for my revenge to be complete. My father is the last one I need gone. However, he’s forcing my sister to marry for an alliance and I need him gone before I can’t save her.

The conclusion of Nem and the Quad was worth the read. The first book was super spicy but this one was not so much. It was a lot of machination for Nem and her men trying to take out Nem’s dad. It slowed the book down a bit. There were also a couple of places Nem was borderline too stupid to live. Overall, it was a good book and it kept me interested and was worth the read.

A group of men murdered my mother and left me for dead. Now ten years later I am out for revenge. I’ve changed everything about me and I will do anything to kill my father. This means taking of the The Quad, four of the most dangerous men and at one point I was in love with them. Will I be getting my revenge or will they figure me out and prevent me from my revenge.

This was a very dark romance. They very much are enemies to lovers with very very dark tropes. It hit all the right notes for me. It is a duet and you will have to read the next one to get the conclusion (review coming tomorrow for the conclusion).
