WARNING this book has a very explicit rape scene and forced
sexual contact throughout the rest of the book. If this is a trigger for you
skip. Well skip anyways see review for why.
Evelyn just wants her best friend back, but he moved away
and now that he’s back he’s not the same. When her friend and she go to a party
and her friend is raped Evelyn is blackmailed into being their tribute. Secrets
are revealed. Will she be able to handle what is revealed?
I skimmed this book to see how it ends because I couldn’t
get through this book after the first rape scene. It then ends on a
cliffhanger. We get all sorts of information dumped on the reader at the very
end of the story and then it ends. I was left with so many questions because of
this info dump. I didn’t enjoy the story at all, and I like a good dark/bully
romance. Rape was a plot point. It was not taken seriously at all and Evie just
kind of brushes off her friend’s rape. There was nothing redeemable from her
guys. They sucked through the end of the book. Overall, I would skip this even
if you like dark/bully romance.
