Bewitching her Monsters by Yve Vale

Jade writes romance books for a living. She doesn’t
know where she gets the inspiration from, but she loves writing steamy
paranormal books. When she needs a break, she heads to the local bar and is
inspired by 4 men. They catch her staring, but she doesn’t think anything of
it. They think she’s a witch and out to get them, but she doesn’t know what
they are talking about. The more she interacts with them the weirder things
get. Are they correct and she’s a witch or are they just making fun of her writing?
This book was pretty good. It was slow going on the
spicy bit but there was some really good world and character building. I liked
the men that will end up being Jade’s partners. It will be interesting to see
where this is going. It does end on a massive cliffhanger. This frustrated me and
makes me impatient for the next book. Definitely looking forward to the next
book.

Lily used to be like Will’s little sister but now
she’s all grown up and needs his help. She’s supposed to be off limits and just
there for a fresh start, but they can’t seem to stay away from each other. When
Lily’s past comes back to haunt them will they come together, or will they split
up?
I wanted to like this more than I did. I enjoyed Lily
and Will a lot and their relationship was fun to see it go from friends to
lovers. My issue was there was something that happened to Lily that is never
explained. I figured it was talking around it to have them explain it later for
the conflict. I was sort of right about this, but it literally was NEVER
explained. It’s alluded to but not explained. It’s vital to the story as Lily
spirals throughout the book because of this big thing. I felt it needed to be
said. I loved the breakup scenes. They were able to finally admit their feelings
for each other. The other big issue was Will’s mom. She plays a pretty big role
in this book, and I wanted to know how she knew about Lily’s big bad secret. This
was a secret that no one was to know but somehow this woman knew about it. Overall,
it was a good read and I enjoyed it. I just wanted some clarity.

Ruined Summer by Kitt Lynn

Summer is the wild child who everyone thinks needs
to be taken in hand and handled. She doesn’t think she does. She wants wildness
and passion. This is great until she goes missing. She is found by her friend
Nix who wants to be more than friends. While making their way home things go
even more astray.
Like the first two books this one was quick and
steamy. I liked that Summer wanted more out of life than what everyone else
seems to want for her. I did feel this one was way shorter than the other books
and that was disappointing. Overall, worth reading since they were so short and
quick to read.

Everyone is out for the Queen of the Labyrinth. They
are willing to pay big bucks to take her and her men out. The only safe option
is to find a way out of the prison. Will they be able to escape and live happily
ever after?
I wanted to love this book so much. I loved the
first one. It was different and an amazing read. This one I kept putting down because
it was mostly sex within the group in between assassination attempts. There is also
a new guy thrown into the mix and it just felt weird. I didn’t really connect
with him as he just was thrown in and there was no time with him. Overall, I
wish I had stopped after book 1 because it was fabulous.

Spring Blossom by Kitt Lynn

Lily fears alphas and is determined to stay far away
from them. Rowan has other ideas as she is meant to be his. Lily is given to him
and when he discovers why she fears alphas will he leave?
It was weird how they handled Lily’s issues. I loved
what happened with the guy who hurt Lily but it was a long time coming. Definitely
saw what was going to happen but it was nice seeing it. I liked the additional plot
with the previous character and the couple from the next book. Another quick
and easy read.

Kraken Sacrifice by Katee Roberts

Catalina has nowhere else to go so she might as well
agree to marry a strange creature. She is won by the Kraken and must stay with
him for seven years. Thane is cold and distant with her and she just wants someone
to be with. Will they find their way to happily ever after?
The story was there but it felt rushed. The story
was plotting along nicely but then it got to a certain point, and it just
rushes to conclude the story. This led to the story feeling rushed and incomplete.
It felt like the author had a page count and once she got to that point, she
had to wrap it up even though the story wasn’t complete. Was liking it up to
this point but no thank you.
