I am so angry with this book. It was all about the drama with Chloe and less about Renee. At one point Renee moves out of the pack house because Chloe screwed up and needed her. Chloe does jack all to do anything and lets Renee give and give so much to fix the mess she’s in. It frustrated me so much. The end wrapped up so quickly. Which led to me wanting more between Renee and her pack and less sister drama. Will try book 3 to see if Chloe gets her redemption.

Pretty solid read. I love how she went from a beta to omega. The fact that Jake saw Renee before anyone else did and didn’t care what she was. He just wanted her no matter what she was. She’s a sweetheart and works well with his pack. Not a fan of Chloe or Marc throughout the book. Never really clicked with them. And at least with this book they were not major factors in the story.

Colt, Gabriel, Elliot, Wade, and Bryce from Pack Steel, need an omega and think Lark is perfect for them. The problem for Lark is they already have an omega, but their omega is male and is pretending to be a beta. She is tired of being arm candy for alphas and is considering their offer. When things come up and people question if their relationship is real she needs to decide if she’s all in.

I’ve liked other books by this author, but this was not one of my favorites. It was a bit disjointed and had a pacing issue. At one-point some of the alphas and the beta are attacked and it’s not addressed. It’s glossed over. It was an interesting concept, but it needed work. Then it ends in on cliffhanger and I need the next book.
