Maggie Ward loses her husband in a car accident. Clay Thompson has thought of her has more
than a friend for a long time but would never do anything about it since he was
friends with both of them. When Maggie’s
husband dies he steps up and takes care of her without any demands. The book takes place over months.
This is one topic that I normally can’t stand. You lose your spouse and then jump right into
another relationship. However, I think
it was handled a little bit better than most in this book. It takes place over the course of a year and
isn’t instantaneous. Clay and Maggie
were cute together and watching their relationship progress from friends to
lovers was interesting to read.
