This book has a massive pacing issue. The plot plods along and then we get an information dump. Then it plods along for a while and then info dump. I struggled getting through this one but it was still good ish. There were parts of the book that I skimmed because they didn’t add anything to the story. I still enjoyed most of this and felt the characters grew and changed but I am getting frustrated.

Giovanni is very wealthy and grumpy man. He’s tired of people taking advantage of those he love. His sister is marrying a man he hates and wants to stop her but can’t and they need a betasitter for his niece. He hires a new company that is supposed to be all betas. One he wasn’t expecting was Soleil. She’s not a beta but an omega who loves children and is the light of the room. He wants her but is too old for her and far too grumpy. Will he bend for her?

I loved this story. Soleil is just trying to be different than what the world expects of her. She wants her business and to take care of herself. I loved the give and take she has with Giovanni and how she wins over those in his life. One of the best parts of the book was Giovanni willingly letting her walk away to live her best life even though they were fated and it will harm him. I also loved the smack down Soleil’s mom did with the dad when he was being a dick about Soleil having a business. It was one of the best parts of the book. Can’t wait for the sequel with her BFF as I need to know what happened to her while Soleil had her adventure.

Every night Bullet visits Grace in her dreams, and she forgets him when she wakes but now he’s able to be with her in person but he’s not sure which path will keep her safe. Life is getting more complicated every day, and his goddess is not supporting him like she used to. What path is the correct one to take?

I enjoyed this one about as much as the first one, but it felt like it’s being drawn out. Why does Grace have to wait to meet all her mates? It’s like the author wanted an individual book per mate but she knows of all of them and she just can’t meet them just yet per Bullet. It makes the book seem a little on the slower side but still good. Hoping the rest of the books pick up.

She has been outcast from the moment she arrived even though she works with her adopted mom providing medicinal care. When it is discovered she is fated mates with the alpha’s son, he rejects her. She thinks all is lost until she enters Fate Hollow Academy where she discovers she doesn’t have just one fated but 7 other ones. How will this work?

This was good. The steamy parts were not as descriptive as other books in this genre are. That aside the plot was interesting and I liked all of Wren’s mates bar her rejected one. It was interesting to see her try and do away with the bond since it was causing her pain. It does end in a cliffhanger ending and I am curious to see how it all plays out.

Worst Wedding Date by Pippa Grant

Theo has been a thorn in the side of Laney since the third grade. Now they are both in Hawaii for Theo’s sister’s wedding and Theo needs to be on his best behavior and not irritate the groom. Laney is asked by her BFF to keep him in line and be his babysitter. The problem is he’s not the scrawny kid from their youth but a tattooed, muscled man. The more she learns about him the more she struggles to not fall for him. Will they find away to get past all their issues to HEA?

Love this book. Both Laney and Theo were amazing. This was a low drama, high humor book. I loved the shenanigans Laney and Theo got into. The big drama was incredibly amusing, and no one was at fault. Theo gets his head out of his behind and gets the girl. I am very much hoping Laney’s two BFFs get their own stories to see where they end up. If you are looking for a quick fun read this one hit the mark.

To get away from this she moves out on her own. When she is called on by a human friend for help and finds her first soul bond. The problem he’s a daemon and not agathos. What will she do?

I loved seeing Grace come into her own. She starts off with little rebellions and slowly grows into a stronger woman. I don’t know if I like where it ended. All of the books are out so I will check out the next one to see where this is going.

Maddie has loved Elijah from afar for years. Helped him through the loss of his girlfriend. Now she is ready to move on and get more out of life. She’s ready to accept another job to grow more. That is until the Wilder Brothers offer her a new position with their business and Elijah has finally shown he is interested in more with her. Will she stay or will she accept a different direction?

I would have given this a 4 star if not for how the drama in the book was handled. Maddie was too forgiving of Elijah. His brothers do call him out for his idiocy and get him into much needed therapy. He basically shows up with his hat in his hands and was all I am so sorry excuse because of his trauma. All was forgiven at this point. I feel like this would have been better towards the middle of the book and have him work towards forgiveness instead of instant forgiveness. The writing was good and it is worth reading but I was just frustrated.
