I will find my pack, but I’m quickly realizing that leaving the past behind isn’t as simple as I once thought it would be.

I liked most of this story but there were too many men and not enough with any of them. There were also too many to keep track of who was who and it was a struggle to connect with any of them. I did enjoy the overall story and who she ended up with. It just came across as too many characters.

Sure, in retrospect, going into business with some guy I’d only been dating for six months sounds impulsive.

Okay, it was impulsive, but it was a good opportunity, and Heath put in as much money as I did. We were equal partners. Until he made an unauthorized withdrawal.

It’s not like he absconded to another country with the money. No, he sunk every dime into a foolproof investment. In my defense, I was vulnerable when we met, and Heath was only supposed to be my rebound guy. I never dreamed I’d have to financially rebound from him.

So now, while he’s busy hawking snake oil, trying to grow his downline, I’m out here just trying to maintain my sanity, stay on top of my game for my sales job, and keep our juice bar afloat.

But there’s always time for vengeance. Heath stole my money; I’ll take his beloved personal trainer. It’s a start.

Wick puts my body through the wringer, in the gym and out, but he’s so not my type. His storm-cloud eyes might see right through me, and his filthy mouth definitely takes my mind off my troubles for a while, but there is not a more arrogant man in the world. Like I said, so not my type. So, why do I keep seeing him?

I loved book one and was hoping this one would be just as good. Nadine just frustrated me. She kept making stupid mistakes and never really learned from them. She’s all in with guys who suck but the one that is good for her she’s all nope with him. They do end up together, but it takes way too long and too much drama to get there. The writing style was the same as book one so if you liked that one you will probably enjoy this one too. I struggled with the characters this time.

Can this control freak omega learn to let go and find her pack? Or will Heated prove to be Bree’s first and greatest failure?

This was an interesting why choose omegaverse. I was pleasantly surprised by the twist of her looking for love on a game show for her heat. I loved watching Bree get her HEA with her men even though she shouldn’t have ended up with them. Definitely worth reading.

At twenty-eight years old, I’m happy to live out the rest of my days without an alpha telling me what to do. Even if that means I won’t live much longer—omegas my age simply don’t survive very long without a pack to tend to them. But I’m okay with that. I’ll die clinging to the last memories of the love of my life, and whatever is left of my pride. But my doctors have other plans. Forced to live with a pack I don’t know to nurse their sick omega back to health, I’ve decided I’m done doing as I'm told. Eager submission was never my strong suit.

I wanted more of a connection between the pack and Violet. It never gelt like they truly wanted her for her. It always felt like they needed her for Brin, and it was all about Brin. They never really addressed her history and just expected her to do what they wanted. I did enjoy the read and I loved Violet. I just wished for some additional info in the story. If you’ve enjoyed other stories by Kitt Lynn, you will like this one.

But as things at the academy spiral downhill, I find myself drawn to this group of mismatched men. Each of them is unique, opening me up to new experiences, and speaking to a different part of my soul.

We want each other. We need each other. But learning how to be a pack is going to be the hardest lesson of our lives.

 

This was an interesting read. I felt it should have been made clearer that FMC and Mattie’s ages were as it was a bit of an ick. I wanted more revenge for FMC with what her ex and her family did. They did her dirty and basically got off scot free. The rest of the group with her were amazing but it was a lot to track. Overall, I enjoyed most of it.
