Edie is addicted to her social media accounts. When she gets trolled by someone online, she decides to detox on an island without any internet or cell reception. When she gets there, she meets three hot men, Alister, Van, and Dante. She is very attracted to them but isn’t sure she wants all the strings that come with them. Will they be able to win her over and finally break the curse so they can leave the island?

No world building or character development. There’s no real explanation as to why the demons can’t leave the island or why the witches hate them so much. There are more books in the series, but I’m not interested.

Beauty and the Goblin King by Lidiy Foxglove

For ten years the Goblin King has been cursed to stay in his castle. He only opens his castle up for women. They receive one gold coin for every night the girl willingly stays. Sabela knows all of this as does her sister Clara. When the family wealth is diminished, and they need funds Clara forces Sabela to go and earn them some coins. When she finds out there is a curse on everyone in the castle she is determined to rescue all of them no matter what it costs her.

This was a take on Beauty and the Beast. It was an interesting take. There were some issues. The first being Myar is a major dick through most of the book, but Sabela just takes it and falls in love with him. Overall, it was just ok not enough to move on with the series.
