Demi’s Guardian by Kitt Lynn

3 Stars

Max

Demi might be the most captivating woman I've ever met. She's smart, funny, and unbelievably beautiful. And she's so clearly out of my league.

But that doesn't mean I can't admire her. Protect her. And maybe even love her from afar.

Demi

I've never been one for love and all that nonsense. I've spent too many years pretending to love alphas who used my body for their own pleasure. Most were kind, and few I even grew to adore, but I'm not dumb enough to believe they had any real feelings for me.

No. Love isn't for me.

But fun? Now that's something I'm good at.

Very consistent with the other books in the series. There isn’t a big bad like other books. It was all about Demi transitioning. I enjoyed the transition aspect but I loved how Max fell for her as a beta. It didn’t change when they got together and she became an omega. I loved that he was willing to travel for her since she had an itch to move around.

Heat Clinic by Alexis B Osborne

4 Stars

Emily has never had a good heat cycle and with her being single she has a couple of options. One she’s never done before is attending a free heat clinic for relief. After signing all the agreements, she wonders if this is her life. She’s assigned a heat minder beta named Sam. He’s everything she wants but doesn’t have the knot she needs. She needs him to take care of her. The knots are nameless, faceless men who give her what she needs and he’s taking care of everything else. At the end of her first day, her last alpha Marcus gives her everything she needs. Marcus thinks she’s his mate but isn’t sure how she will feel about his beta mate Tom. He’s willing to jump through the hoops the clinic requires but it’s not just Emily he wants with them but also Sam. When the heat breaks will they all still want each other?

These were older characters which is nice to read. A lot of sex but still had a decent story. I would have liked it more with the families since there was so much drama with them. I liked that it was different from other omega books. The clinic is an interesting concept for an omega book. I’ve seen it done similarly but not quite like this. I will be looking for more books by this author as I blew through this one very quickly.

Omega Sanctuary by Mira Kane

3 stars

Zara has been tested and told she’s not an omega, so her plan is to take over the bakery. When she is tested one more time it is found that they screwed up and she is an omega. Now she must be sent off to the academy to be trained on being a proper omega. She must select her alphas who are there to protect her but that’s not how she was raised, and she’s not interested in selecting just anyone for herself. On the journey to the academy things go sideways and she discovers there is something going on that is risking omegas. Will she and her chosen mates discover what is going on before it is too late?

This is bordering on a 2 for issue in the book. There are grammatical and spelling errors throughout. There was also a lock of world development which led to confusion on how and why things are the way they are. There was also a pacing issue. We had a lot of hurry up and wait. I liked the story as it was different. Zara was a strong main who went after what she wanted. The next one doesn’t come out for a while which sucks since it ended in a cliff hanger.

Good Girl by Sam Hall

2 stars

Cyn has been raised in a society where certain women need to be taken care of by their men. Omega’s must attend soirees to find their alphas. When they are not attending them, they are training to be stronger. Cyn hates all of this. She wants to live her best life and not be ruled by anyone. When she meets a group of men will she find a way to live her best life?

I wanted to like this book but didn’t. Cyn was used and abused by those who are supposed to take care of her, and they never really make it up. I also felt there needed to be more background. I ended up skimming to see if it got better and got to the end and it never got better. I’ll skip anything else.
