Dr. Mariana Lopez has been on the run for a while.  She was hiding out from a stalker.  While hiding out she decided to be the moderator for an anger management program that was filled with supernatural beings, not that she was aware that was the case.  Raine Maxwell knows the good dr is his mate but isn't willing to put her at risk of his curse until her life is put at risk then he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.

This was a good short story to add to the overall Dark Protectors series.  It was amazing to finally get the backstory to Mariana and see her for her happily ever after,  My biggest issue with the book itself was the bad guy and how it played out.  It was obvious and the ending with him was anticlimactic.  Even with that I enjoyed the story and can't wait for what's next.

Demon Tabi  Rusko has a list of things she needs to get done.  On this list is rob a bank, steal a recording, set up a factory, and survive an assassin.  One throws a wrench in her plans human cop Evan O'Connell.  Evan had forced her into anger management class.  She doesn't want to like him but she does.  Evan just wanted to enjoy his retirement from the military as an officer in a small town.  He sure doesn't need sexy blonde bombshell Tabi coming to his town creating chaos but he just can't stay away from her.

I really enjoyed this story.  It was a quick read and we got to revisit many old characters that we know and love.  It is apart of two different series but can be read alone.  I haven’t read the series in forever and was able to follow along just fine.  I loved the relationship between Tabi and Evan.  The give and take they had with each other and the situation they were in.  Evan was a human who didn’t know he was special until they mated.  He was able to get up to speed very fast and without to much hassle.  I loved seeing some of the old characters as well as being introduced to new ones.  Can’t wait for the next book.
